About Us
The Choice To Go Raw
The whole raw journey began rather accidentally. Bam had found this book about raw foods, “Raw Food, Real World”
and came home talking about. He didn’t actually purchase it and since I hadn’t seen it yet, my first thoughts were similar to a lot of people’s, “What? We’re going to live on platters of crudite now?”
This did not sound appealing. Bam explained the theories and how cooking foods above 118 degrees kills the living enzymes and how our bodies see large amounts of cooked foods as toxins to the point of raising our white blood cell count. I listened while he further explained that there was a great, big world of ‘raw foods’ out there that wasn’t at all what I thought it was. He researched more scientific facets of how a raw food lifestyle could change a person’s health for the better. He read and read and read every paper and book he could get his hands on. He questioned the simplicity of raw foods but kept coming back to the simple facts and science of it all.
Several sites talked about the mood changes that came about from being raw. The same sites also had many testimonials about how easy the weight loss was by switching to raw foods.
Now THAT got me interested. Since both of my parents had died in a relatively short time frame, my mood had been nothing but down. This had affected Bam as well and our eating habits reflected our moods. We went straight for the comfort foods. In our case, this was tofu ice cream bars. Granted, a healthier choice than most of the population, but still, that along with over eating in general was having a strong effect on my moods and my weight.
So after a few more trips to the book store where we both read big chunks of the book we planned to buy, we finally did buy it. We took turns reading it from cover to cover and decided to “go raw” for 30 days to see how we liked it.

The day of choice happened to be my 44th birthday. I must admit, with the birthday element came a bit of resistance from me. I was thinking… what? No cake on my birthday? No fun foods on my birthday? So in typical “Share” fashion, I insisted on a cheese omelet and a large organic cappuccino (with rice milk of course) the morning of the day we went raw! Hilarious!
Many things have changed since then! First of all, I no longer drink coffee or espresso nor do I crave it in the least. Now THAT is an achievement of Olympic proportions. But the biggest changes two plus years later are my moods and my overall health. At the time we went raw, I battled seasonal allergies. Nothing dramatic I know. But I had grown accustomed to sneezing several times every single day. I was also used to being very sleepy after I ate. I had been told that now that I was in my mid-forties that it was ‘normal’ to be experiencing insomnia. Add to that, in the last few months prior to our rawness, both Bam and I had developed severe carpal tunnel syndrome. There were days when I could not even lift a glass without pain or yelping out loud.
All of those ‘symptoms’ or ‘ailments’ or whatever you want to call them….. are GONE. They all disappeared within months of being raw. The first thing to go was the insomnia. Boy was I thrilled to sleep like that. I call it the ‘frying pan to the head’ type of sleep. The kind of sleep like in the cartoons where Bugs Bunny whacks some poor unsuspecting chap across the head with the frying pan and little birds appear to sing sweetly. Yes. That’s the kind of sleep I suddenly acquired. That was my first clue that this raw thing was pretty cool.
What began as a ‘let’s try it for 30 days’ idea is now a lifestyle. It’s been such an exciting journey that we decided to share it with as many people as possible. Our family members have made many positive changes to their lives after seeing the differences in our energy and appearance.
As for who we are as people? Well, Bam was the illustrious and somewhat notorious drummer for both The Dogs D’Amour and The Wildhearts and as for me, I was the bassplayer in all-female rockers, Vixen and Contraband. Bam and I met in the early 90′s and eventually got married and then formed our own band, Bubble. For the last few years we’ve been filming up and coming bands for our show, Rock n Roll TV. Hi ,
My name is Jennifer Hammett and I’m working with Kevin Gianni from RenegadeHealth.com. If you haven’t heard of Kevin, he’s been in front and behind some very popular releases and products in the natural health movement.
I wanted to talk to you about an opportunity that we have to provide great and unique content about raw food to your readers and fans as well as some ways that we can help promote what you do.
Kevin gets a ton of questions about raw food, so he recently put together a program to take those who are new to raw food or those who want a “raw food” reboot… it’s called “The Raw Food Challenge”.
There will be thousands of people joining us to do the Raw Food Challenge (already hundreds signed up already) coming up in May and June, so I wanted to see if you (1) wanted a copy and (2) if you would be interested in either talking about the challenge or doing it with us!
There are a few promotional opportunities that we’re offering that could make you some extra cash (some significant) that I’d love to run by you.
You can contact me directly by email: jennifer@renegadehealth.com.

I took 1 st credit loans when I was 32 and this helped my relatives a lot. However, I require the short term loan once more time.
